Butterfly Garden

A place that reflects the mesmerizing beauty of a province that is known as the “Last Frontier of the Philippines”. It showcases a sheer variety of Palawan Butterflies.  These free flying butterflies are surrounded with live exhibits of scorpions, green-crested lizards, phasmid and mantises which are their natural predators.  It is a window to the natural ecology of these colorful insects.

Another added attraction are the rescued endemic wildlife of Palawan.  These animals are given the chance of a second life by being rescued from poachers and wouldn’t have survived in the wild because of the probability of suffering the same fate all over again.  Like the Palawan Peacock Pheasant and the Palawan Bearcat, these animals are now ambassadors of their own species in the wild.  By educating the public about these wild yet gentle creatures the facility promotes public awareness about how our actions as human beings can affect greatly everything in our environment.

After fulfilling exploration in the butterfly enclosure, you will step into the life of the native Palawan.  Palawan is only one of the many indigenous people of Palawan that have been living in the province for many thousands of years.  A few traits and trades have been preserved since younger generations are now adapting to modernization.  The tribal village is to preserve those remaining traits and trades and by its Cultural show; visitors will get a rare chance to interact with these native people that holds pure Palawan bloodline.   Visitors will learn the Palawan way of hunting, survival, handy craft making, daill life and even the Palawan way of hanging out.

How to get there:

    By tricycle from the airport or from the city proper - Php 300.00 good for three (3) persons

    Take the jeepney or multicab bound to Sta. Monica along national highway Php16.00 / person.

    Tricycles, vans & jeepneys for hire are also available.

    Travel time is 20 minutes from the City Proper.
